    Hello Everybody,

Tommy's cat scan showed that although the tumor's size hasn't changed much the surgical and onconology teams agree that the dexterity has changed from a solid tumor to a liquid form. The scan also showed the nodules in the lungs have either disappeared or shrunk significantly, and the spread to the vena cava also looks good. The Docs agree that the chemo is working and they are happy with the progress thus far.

Because there is still cancer in the lungs our chemo regimen will be more aggressive going forward with the addition of two new medications. Our schedule at the Jimmy Fund/Dana Farber will be pretty full for the foreseeable future, but we are still on pace for surgery in the September time frame.

Tommy has been a great joy to be around. His vivacious appetite for a good time is contagious. We've enjoyed time down the Cape with the Daly's last weekend and Auntie Tricia's gang this past weekend.

He hasn't lost his devilish 4 year old knack for surprises. In a mistake I've managed to repeat several times, I allowed my work tool (cell phone) to be used a toy, as a result a note I compiled for thank you cards was deleted and replaced with the kindergarten alphabet. Lesson learned. Again. For now.

The level of support we've received has left us overwhelmed, even a little embarrassed. A thank you will never articulate the strength you all have given us. Please keep praying for Tommy as we travel through the challenges ahead, and please keep all sick children in your prayers!

    Love,
    Katy, Maggie, Tommy and Edzo
